Did I Overpack My Make up Bag? #1
So I recently went on a two day trip to Edinburgh for my Grandma's 80th with my family and we had a ball (not a dance no, fun.). The only thing I do not enjoy about traveling is packing my make up bag; my name is Katie Smith and I am a complete and utter beauty product junkie that's why. Clothes I'm fine with but make up, no. It's never an easy process for me and it wouldn't be a family holiday if I didn't try to take my whole room with me and pack my make up bag not just once but twice and then change the make up bag 3 times also because there wasn't enough space for my 5 blushes and 3 different mascaras. Yes, I do tend to overpack so every time I have a holiday/ go on a trip from now on I will be monitoring myself by blogging about it. Right now it sounds like it's gonna be tough but whatev's let's get down to the nitty gritty and on to the facts.
1) I took 33 products with me including skin care.
2) 5 brushes.
3) I used 26 products and only 2 brushes.
You may be thinking ''God how much make up does this girl (I'm 22 by the way) wear on her face?!''
I actually think that isn't bad for me. Using 26 products out of 33. Although I did take a few blushes, a couple of sample pots of foundations and some handbag essentials for on the go too. Oh and only one eyeshadow palette- the Urban Decay Naked 2. OMG. That palette is to die for! I thought the Naked 1 was the best thing ever, and put off buying the next one because I thought I wouldn't have suited the taupe, smokey shades in the Naked 2, but no, they suit me even better, and the brush is so much better too, oh and it comes with a teeny tiny cute lipgloss. It retails for £36 which is another reason I was putting it off but can I just say, I am so glad I took the plunge and splurged. It's amazing, everyone needs one. Maybe my next post should be a review on the Naked 2 Palette?
So, back we go to my make up bag, what did I actually take with me and what did I use? Here's a long list for you. :)

So, I bet you're thinking yup she overpacked, this girl is mad, why would anyone take as many products as that if your not then my Mum certainly would be if she saw, (thankfully she had a different room to me and my sis etc). Anyway, this is what I need to keep track of and try to minimize for the next holiday. Summer's almost here so there may possibly be another smaller blog post after this, maybe.
Hope this helps anyone like me who gets themselves in a bit of a muddle when choosing their products for a trip.
